Want to have a quick grammar review or need a fun and engaging way to get students excited about grammar? This is a great way to start the school year!
This weeklong Grammar Bootcamp Unit is perfect!
Get your students excited to learn by transforming your lessons into a boot camp for grammar. Each day contains a written lesson plan, printables and a student booklet for the week.
The concepts taught are:
- nouns (common, proper, pronoun)
- verbs (past, present, and future)
- adjectives
- subject and predicate
The unit ends with an assessment to see how much students were able to retain and what skills need to be retaught within a small group setting.
I highly recommend adding this into your plans for the beginning of the year! It's a great way to assess where students are and help them have a quick review before more intensive reading and writing lessons begin! And it's such a fun activity! The Writing Bridge is my new writing course geared toward teachers in grades 3-6. This is a comprehensive writing course and once complete, you will leave with all the lessons and resources you need to teach writing for the whole year! Learn more here!
This is exactly what I need for my kiddos. I see a lot of my students not knowing some of the basic grammar skills. This would be great for morning work at the beginning of the year so students learn these skills right away, or it can get their brain remembering from the pervious years!
